Our High-Grade Commercial Supers are flatpack and come untreated, featuring a smooth, professionally finished product. While some boxes may have tight knots, rest assured, there are no gaps or holes, ensuring a solid and durable structure for your hive.

• Flatpack Components: This box is provided as a flatpack, requiring assembly on your part. You will need to supply your own nails or staples for assembly.
• Untreated Wood: The wood is untreated, allowing you the flexibility to apply your own timber treatment. We offer Metalex in clear or green options, as well as paraffin wax for protecting your woodware. We can provide dilution instructions for optimal use in beekeeping.
• Full Depth for Brood: The full-depth box is typically used as a brood box, providing ample space for the queen to roam freely and lay eggs. It accommodates a larger frame compared to the 3/4 depth box, giving the queen more room to increase the hive’s population.
• Space for Brood and Honey: The full depth box allows more space for brood rearing, but as it fills with honey, it can become quite heavy. Many beekeepers prefer to use full depth boxes for brood and 3/4 depth boxes for honey, as the latter are easier to handle when the honey flow ends.
