Feeders
A bee feeder plays an essential role in supporting the health and productivity of bee colonies.
Beekeepers supplement honey bee colonies' feed with white sugar (sucrose) solution, known as sugar syrup which helps prevent starvation during low nectar flow, stimulates colony growth, and enhances foraging activity, benefiting pollination of crops.
From feeder complete kits to liquid sugar, raw sugar, and individual equipment pieces, Ceracell offers a vast range of options to help beekeepers ensure their colony is healthy, happy and well-fed!
Made in New Zealand, Ceracell's sturdy division feeders are injection-moulded from 100% virgin food-grade plastic and available in a range of sizes from 1-frame feeders through to 10-frame feeders. These frame feeders are easier to use and more efficient with the Ceracell ladders, which give the bees something to cling to as they access the syrup and minimise drownings. They also help slow the feeding process so your bees don't gorge themselves all at once. You can buy the feeders on their own, feeders with ladders, or bee ladders on their own.
Raw sugar is for "dry" feeding from a top feeder. It contains some moisture, making it easier for bees to work and take up. White sugar is preferred for dissolving in water and feeding via our top feeders, with caps to prevent drowning. Our bulk supply of liquid sugar is the quick, convenient option. Fill your own container and it's ready to go, or it's available online in a 10-litre jerry can.
With Ceracell's range of quality New Zealand-made bee feeder products, beekeepers know their colonies will receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
