3/4 depth Langstroth box (super, 3/4 deep, or storey). Assembled. Untreated. Our High Grade Commercial Supers are a smooth and professionally finished product. Some may have tight knots, but no gaps or holes.
You may want to consider treating your woodware before assembly, or after. We have available for sale Metalex, which comes in either a clear or green timber treatment option. Metalex is a great timber treatment and we have instructions on how to dilute the solution to a beehive recommended dosage. Simply ask one of a friendly staff. We also have paraffin wax.
The 3/4 depth supers are ideal for people not wanting to lift heavy hives full of bees. The 3/4 depth box has just the right amount of space for queen and bees to move about their business and still provide enough room for the queen to lay and nurse bees to look after the larvae. The 3/4 depth box is perfect for honey supers as once full, the box is a manageable weight to move without too much discomfort.
