A bee brush, unlike hearth brushes or floor brushes, generally only have one row of bristles. It is designed to move the bees off the comb without entangling them or to be too rough on either the bees or the honey comb.
This brush has long nylon bristles that give it a softness a short bristle wouldn't have. The length of a synthetic bristle is particularly important to ensure plenty of flex but still make it stiff enough to move the bees.
