Apiguard is a certified organic treatment that not only targets varroa mites with its miticidal properties but also offers antimicrobial and virucidal benefits. This makes it one of the only treatments that protects your hive from varroa while supporting its overall health, especially as your bees prepare for winter.

How to Use:

• Treatment Plan: Use 50g for two weeks, followed by a second 50g for the remaining 6 weeks. This treats one drone brood cycle and eliminates up to 97% of the varroa. For two full worker brood cycles, use a third 50g tray after 14 days.
• Application Tip: Place the open tray directly on top of the brood area and add a feeder rim, empty ¾ box, or a full-depth box to give bees space to work the gel and spread the vapors throughout the hive.
• Important: Ensure bees have access to the thymol gel, as they need to remove it from the hive to distribute the vapors. Avoid contact with eyes, as the gel is potent and can cause irritation.

Packaging Options:

• Box of 10 x 50g Trays: Treats 5 hives for one drone brood cycle or 3 hives for two worker brood cycles.

Storage & Shelf Life:

• The trays have a shelf life of three years from the date of manufacture when sealed, with manufacturers guaranteeing two additional years of shelf life if unopened.

Temperature Requirements:

• Apiguard works best when used at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C.

Rotation with Apistan:

• Apiguard and Apistan are highly effective when used in rotation. These two treatments provide the highest combined varroa combatting efficacy, ensuring your bees are well protected.
