The wood frame with plastic foundation combines the advantages of both wood frames and plastic frames. Some beekeepers prefer the stiffness of the wooden frame when working their hives, but want the superior durability of the plastic foundation. This option provides for that. Note, you will want to ensure the plastic foundation is coated with a thin layer of beeswax. If you don't have time to do the coating, consider purchasing these plastic foundation sheets from Ceracell already waxed.
