We have been manufacturing plastic frames in New Zealand since 2000, using virgin food grade plastic from our own dies. As pioneers in the industry, we are proud to be the creators of the black frame, which has become the global standard. The black frame makes it easier to spot white eggs and young larvae in the cells, improving colony management.
Carton Size: 48 frames
Pallet Size: 864 frames (18 cartons per pallet)
Bees need a thin layer of beeswax to encourage comb drawing. These frames come wax-coated and are ready to be put into your hive. If you'd like to coat them yourself, we offer uncoated frames in another category. We also sell beeswax for coating your frames.
We can mould frames in any colour you desire. Many beekeepers use different coloured frames to monitor the age of the comb, for example, discarding comb that’s five years old. Coloured food-grade plastics come at a higher cost, and a small extra charge applies for custom colours.
Note: Black plastic frames will be supplied unless specified otherwise.
