Our steel wire queen excluders are made in New Zealand to our exacting standards to maintain the critical gap to our specification.
This is the "bare wire" excluder, but we assemble the wood rim on for you. A solid stiff unit, that like the metal rim excluder. Low flex so not to fling bees everywhere. Many prefer to give the bees a bit of a gap to help work their way through the excluder.
These locally produced queen excluders are top quality and work phenomenally. With NZ Made Wooden Rims and assembled in our own warehouse in Auckland from locally sourced steel manufacturers, you cannot beat our quality. We want to support local businesses and hope you do as well.

Does what it says
I only ever use these so I can't compare them with, oh yes, we did try a thin plastic one once (stuck to everything and too flimsy to clean). Lasts ages -we've only been beekeeping 5 years but we haven't had to replace one yet
